I knew I hit my thirties when I watched the movie “The Patriot” and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Heath Ledger instead of Mel Gibson. It was then that Heath became my movie boyfriend, I would have put in on my list… if I were someone to do that.
I came to really appreciate the actor too though. He truly was amazing at the craft. So many actors have one style, or get type casted, not him. He played so many different characters and types of movies, and I loved him in all of them.
My favorite was, still is, A Knight’s Tale, mostly because I love a good Cinderella story. I have most of his movies still on DVD, and the few I am missing I could never find.
I miss him and miss what else he would have given us. My comfort, I have today, the same romantic relationship I had with him when he was alive…
