Yes, that is a double negative, but it does not make a positive.
I am a new author (duh) and I am doing my best to be sucessful at this self publishing, self promoting, self marketing thing.
I have a website (please visit kcindeedoll.ca), I am on LinkedIn (please visist and connect), I have a Facebook account (please visit and follow), and I am working on my Goodreads Author page (I’m just starting to figure that one out, so nothing to see there… yet)
I’m doing my best to use the ‘Best Practices’ of those who came before, the problem is that MANY have come before and they all have different ‘Best Practices’ that worked for THEM! I need to find my own, find my path, make personal realistic goals and have them come to fruition.
With all that said, how the hell do I know if I am doing it ‘right’ when there are SOOOOOOO many ways of doing things? Well I’ll tell you. You get some insight from your buddie at Friesen Press, your promotions specialist and he reviews what you have done and tells you; “Everything looks good. Nothing here stands out as a red flad.” And with that, your confidence is rebuild, your personal motiviation is renewed and you get back on the horse. You spend the day on the computer looking for contests, creating more posts, and ‘working’. Because, now you know…
You’re not doing anything wrong.
