I wouldn’t rewrite any books ending. The writer wrote it that way for a reason. It is their story not mine.
What I would do is rewrite all the stories that have been altered back to their original… Yes I’m talking to you Disney! Fairytales are not meant to all have happy ever after. There was a reason Cinderella’s sisters came to a horrid end and the witch in Hansel and Gretel got cooked.
Maybe I am morbid, I have more faith in our children than most.
