One of the reasons I chose to write fiction was because I could create the future I would like to see. So I did.
Through Their Eyes is a court room drama. It’s about the stories of five young adults and their paths to committing a crime. The ‘testimony’ of the defendants is by way of Mind-Watching, technology that allows the jury to witness the memories of what actually transpired through the eyes of the person using the technology.
But, it really is about a future I would love to see. A world where borders no longer exist (they are called boundaries for reference). Where the colour of you skin doesn’t matter. In the small town in the Northern North American boundary where the story takes place most people have the same olive skin tone, or a variation of it, as the population is of mixed heritage.
There is no more war, with no countries there is nothing left to fight over. The United Nations is the government for the planet. The mission of the UN is One World One Voice, everyone is represented.
The justice system is the last thing that needs to be united. That is why the world is watching… Through Their Eyes.
